So, I did a little thing, and last minute I entered a huge photography contest by Shoot and Share.  I was on the fence about entering, and ended up doing it total last minute.  Like mad rush to find picture I thought were good enough to enter.   Which is tough.  Seriously, the photographers and the work entered into this contest annually is mindblowing.  Stop you in your tracks good.

When I entered, I had zero expectations of winning, making it to the best of the best round, or even getting enough votes to make it the first week of voting.  To my surprise, I ended up doing much better than expected.   Of the handful of images I entered, I had two images make it to the top 30% of all entries, four image in the top 20% of entries, and three images in the top 10% of images entered.

Now, I know that making it to the top 30, 20 and 10 percent doesn’t seem like a big deal.  But when you consider that over a million images were entered, making it into the top 10% suddenly is more impressive.
