Twin Girl Newborn Photography Session
I had a blast during this twin girl newborn photography session. As you will see, one of these ladies had her own plans for the session. She would get just sassy enough during the twin girl newborn photography session to let me know she wasn’t completely on board with my plan for her and her sister. With side eyes, and sneaky smiles – she was sassy from the start of their twin girl newborn photography session.
Parent Poses | Twin Girl Newborn Photography Session
Parent poses during a newborn photography session can be time consuming – and that is even more true with a twin girl newborn photography session. With one baby, my normal pose flow for parent poses is baby with mom, with mom and dad, with dad, with dad and mom, and then some additional poses of the whole family. With two babies at a newborn photography session, this flow includes twice as many poses, and takes twice as long. If you were wondering why a twin girl newborn photography session would take 2-3 hours, parent posing takes up a good size chunk of that session time.

This little ladies love being swaddled, and I love that mom was all for dark gray props. During a twin girl newborn photography session, I like to pose each twin in at least one set up or pose that is the same as their sibling. This way the backdrop and props are the same, and the differences between the newborn twins can be the focus of the images.
Rainbow Baby Twins | Twin Girl Newborn Photography Session
Rainbow babies are babies that are born after a loss. They are the light at the end of the storm, and the beauty that comes from the bad times. I photograph a lot of rainbow babes, and was go glad to get to include some of them in this twin girl newborn photography session.
This rainbow backdrop is a favorite of mine for rainbow baby photography sessions, and perfect for this twin girl newborn photography session. Both girls fit perfectly under it.
These little felted rainbows are new props in the studio, and were perfect for this twin girl newborn photography session. I also had an adorable rainbow headbands to include in the session.
This rainbow heart set is easily my most popular request or rainbow baby sessions. Parents love the combination of a rainbow and hearts. It’s also a favorite of mine. I also have it in a pastel set for families that want a more pastel heart rainbow included in their session.
Swaddled Poses | Twin Girl Newborn Photography Session
With two babies, having them swaddled is a great approach for the session. Not only does swaddling clam the babies, but it makes posing them the same easier. I love posing newborns in the same poses during the session, and this made it super easy.
This is also a great pose to photography twins in, since it gives parents a side by side comparison of their little features. It’s funny how similar and how different twins can be. These little ladies are fraternal twins, but still have similar looks.
A new backdrop in the studio, and already a top request. It’s from one of my favorite vendors, Wrinkle In Time Photography Props. This white star backdrop is one of my top backdrops for sessions, and so glad we used it for this twin girl newborn photography session. The stars are subtle enough not to distract from the newborn baby girls during their newborn photography session at my Minneapolis newborn photography studio.
