Minneapolis Child Photography Studio Session
This sweet little guy came in for his one year session, and brought his sisters along for their Minneapolis child photography studio session. I have photographed this family a few time in the last few years, and they are always so much fun. I love how much personality they have jammed into their little bodies at these ages.
Simple Portraits | Minneapolis Child Photography Studio Session
I love to photograph Minneapolis child photography studio session, especially kids around 1 year old. They are so much fun. Like this guy, at first they are shy and slow to warm up to me. We always start on the studio bed, which gets some fun pictures out of them. Kids love bouncing on a bed, playing with pillows, and playing peekaboo with blankets.
And if they need a little extra incentive to smile, bring the favorite toy, blanket, or lovie always does the trick. I even have that recommended in my What To Expect For Milestone Sessions prep guide that I send parents before their Minneapolis child photography studio session.
Wooden Photography Backdrop | Minneapolis Child Photography Studio Session
If you follow my page, you will have noticed that the majority of props and backdrops I use for a Minneapolis child photography studio session are white. I love the simplicity of it. I do like to change things up at a Minneapolis child photography studio session once and a while and use my wooden backdrop. The wooden photography backdrop add some great character to the session, but also keeps the backdrop simple and neutral. This allows the children and their personalities be the focus for Minneapolis child photography studio session images.
I also have a great selection of outfits available in studio for use at your Minneapolis child photography studio session. All of these outfits are from the studio collection, and always available in studio for use.
Swing | Minneapolis Child Photography Studio Session
This swing is a new addition to the Northfield photography studio, and a hit with kids in for milestone photography sessions. All kids love swinging, so adding a swing into a photography session almost guarantees smiles. I love being able to incorporate these fun props into a Minneapolis child photography studio session.
All White Set Up | Minneapolis Child Photography Studio Session
I love when I get to shoot a Minneapolis child photography studio session on all white. From a white backdrop, props, and outfits – they are my favorites. Not only will they always look great displayed in your home, but using all white during a Minneapolis child photography studio session lets your little one be the center of attention.
High Chair Session | Minneapolis Child Photography Studio Session
It’s no secret that my favorite prop to use for milestone photography sessions are my high chairs. I have a few high chair props in the studio in a few colors, but this white one is my favorite. Maybe because it was the first one I got, or more likely because I painted it white and it fits in so well with my white session set ups. It was an amazing find at a local Northfield flea market.
The high chair is a great prop for a couple reasons. First, it really helps keep those moves, crawlers, walkers, and runners in one spot. They have a hard time getting away while contained in the high chair. Secondly, every kid that has taken pictures in the highchair so far has lit up when they get placed into the chair. At this age, the kiddos already associate the high chair with food. Once in the chair, they are all looking around for a snack. If they get a snack, they make pretty funny face. If they don’t get a treat, they can get pretty feisty – which leads to some pretty amazing faces too.
