This little guy is a return newborn client, and I am so glad I was his Minneapolis photographer for one year old session. I love when babies come back for milestone sessions and I get to see these babies grow over their first year.
Like most milestone sessions, I started this session on my all white bed set up. Most one yea olds enjoy being on the bed set up at the start of their photography session. This guy LOVED it. He was such a character. I can’t get over how adorable his little poses are. The make me laugh every time I look at them. A huge perk of being a Minneapolis photographer for one year old session is getting to meet these hysterical little one year olds.

One of the most used props I have bought over the years as a Minneapolis photographer for one year old session is this little macrame swing. I love setting it up in the studio and letting one year olds have a little fun swinging during the session. The kids love it too.

While I love using all white backdrops for my sessions as a Minneapolis photographer for one year old session, I also love incorporating some additional colors and textures into the session. This wooden backdrop is a perfect addition to milestone sessions. While it is a break from my normal all white session set ups, it is still a simple and neutral backdrop that let this little personalities shine. Getting good real smiles out of these kiddos and letting them being the focus of the session is always my goal as a Minneapolis area child photographer.

As a mom and Minneapolis photographer for one year old session, I have found over the years that not only do parents want an updated picture of their kids from milestone photography sessions, but they also want an updated family picture. Families do not always want or need a full family session. I have added the option to include some family images in with milestone photography sessions as a way for families to get that quick updated family portrait at the same time as their photography session.

From wild expresses from kids expecting food, to more inquisitive expressions like the looks from this guy.
