I am always excited for a newborn photography session for baby boy.  While little girls seem to get a lot more options for props and accessories, I love the simple styling of boy sessions and being able to mix textures for a rustic look.  Boy newborn photography sessions are so much fun to style, and I love incorporating different props, textures, and colors into the session.

I love when parents want to incorporate parent poses into their newborn photography session for baby boy.  I get that sometimes parents don’t want to be in pictures, they are exhausted from having a 1-2 week old baby. I get it.  I always recommend parents get in the pictures with their kids.  And there is no better time than during the newborn photography session for baby boy.  This is a time for the whole family to celebrate how they are growing, and this big milestone for the entire family.  The session is focused on baby, but also a time to document the amazing changes in your family.

One of my favorite props in the studio for a newborn photography session for baby boy is this moon prop.  Not only is it adorable, but it also fits the theme for many nurseries.  Star and moon nursery décor is a popular choice among my clients lately.  And it is great for them to have a unique prop for their newborn photography session for baby boy like this adorable moon.  I love it so much, that I also have it in white.   I know, I have a prop problem.

This chubster bowl is a favorite of mine too for a newborn photography session for baby boy (I have it in multiple colors).  It is perfect sized for babies, and adds a great rustic look to a set up without out taking away from the baby.  Mine is from Mexican Imports, but they are available from a wide variety of newborn prop sellers and even on Amazon.  They are a studio staple for me, and used in so many of my newborn sessions, for both newborn baby girls and newborn baby girls.

Newborn Photography Session for Baby Boy | Those Little Details

Newborn Photography Session for Baby Boy

One of my favorite parts of a newborn photography session for baby boy is these close up or marco images.  They are the best way to capture all of baby’s little details.  The ones that change so quickly.  It’s funny how different when babies from their newborn photography session for baby boy come back into the studio to view their images and look different already.  Those teeny toes, adorable nose profile, lashes that make us all jealous, little lips, and more.

Newborn Photography Session for Baby Boy | Traditional Newborn Poses

This little guy was so much fun during his newborn photography session for baby boy.  He spent a lot of time awake, and just checking me out.  He also loved being wrapped or swaddled up during the session.

His little back rolls were so adorable in the traditional newborn poses during the newborn photography session for baby boy.  He loved being all snuggled up too.  He fell fast asleep, and loved it.

Newborn Photography Session for Baby Boy

One of the most requested set ups for a newborn photography session for baby boy are these adorable little face shots.  Parents love when I can capture all of the little smiles, smirks, cries and more from their baby.  It is a great way to capture all of those little faces forever.  When my kids were little, I know I would spend hours just watching their faces and loving all the silly faces they made.
