I always start my newborn photography in Minneapolis sessions with parent poses.  It is a great way to get to know the parents better, and ease into the session.  Plus, with the studio being 80 degrees, it is a nice perk to have the newborn photography parent poses out of the way, before everyone gets too hot and sweaty.  No one wants pictures taken when they are that hot.
