Newborn Photographer in Northfield Minnesota | Newborns With Large Families
One of the best part of being a newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota is that I get to meet some amazing families. This family was one of those. They are a large blended family, with a total of 6 children in the family. While the kids may not all be biological siblings, they are a family filled with love. And I was thrilled to get to photograph them when they selected me as their newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota. Parents also love that I am a photographer that doesn’t charge extra for family pictures. The way I see it, the entire family is growing, and everyone one should be included in the new family pictures.
I wanted to find a find way to incorporate all of the children in the family, and also show how this new baby boy was a perfect addition to the family, and one that brings the whole family even close together. I had the idea of placing baby in the center, and all the kids fro the family holding him. It was a great way to include all the kids, show their connection to the newest baby in the family, and also give the parents a timeless piece of art that will forever document the connection between all of their kids, and how this new baby is special to everyone. Being able to give families images like this is honestly the best part of being a newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota.
After the adorable sibling hand pose, we moved into more traditional siblings / kid poses. I photographed all of the kid with the newborn baby boy. The oldest sibling also asked for a picture along with her new baby brother. Dad said she was so excited about the baby, has been a huge help with taking care of him, and often referred to as his “second mother”. These newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota images of them together are a great way to document that special connection they had from the start.
Newborn Photographer in Northfield Minnesota | Newborn Poses With Parents
Parent poses are a favorite of mine in sessions. And honestly I think I love them so much because I wish I had similar pictures with my own kids. As a newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota, I want to give these special moments to other families in photographs so they can look back and remember just how little their little newborn baby was, and just how excited they were to meet them. I started with mom poses, and then went into some of them together. And then we finished with dad and newborn baby poses. I have to admit, the dad and baby poses hold a special place in my heart and always my favorite images from session galleries. There is something special about a teeny tiny baby in dad’s hands.
Newborn Photographer in Northfield Minnesota | Prop Poses
Mom had a special request for her session with me as her newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota. She really wanted a picture of her little baby boy in a bucket, with a bonnet on and the bonnet ties dangling down. I was happy to give her exactly what she wanted. I posed her little newborn baby boy in my go to Hello Little bucket, and used some of my favorite props. I have had these newborn props so long, that they always seem vintage compared to my newer props. They have seen a lot of babies in and out of the studio over the years. The bonnet is from Persnickety Knits, and the layer is from Dainty Miss. I know both have been in the studio collection for at least 5 years. That really seems like a long time now that I see it in print! It just shows the amount of props I have available in studio for sessions with me as your newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota.
Mom also loved light blues, so I included this adorable set up. The bonnet is actually one I knit, with yarn from my favorite local yarn store, Northfield Yarn. They are amazing, and always helpful when I am picking out new yarn colors to use when making new props for my newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota prop collection.
Newborn Photographer in Northfield Minnesota | Baby Laying Poses
After prop poses, we move onto traditional newborn photographer poses, where baby is posed on fabric. This newborn baby boy was so easy to work with, and a breeze to pose. One of the hardest parts of being a newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota is these traditional poses. Babies have to be asleep and flexible. As babies get older, they seem to sleep less, and become less flexible. Luckily this baby buy was still pretty young, and was fine in any position I placed him in.
This little newborn baby boy was so relaxed during his session that he gave me a few big grins for his session. His big newborn baby smile mad my day, and one of my best days as a newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota. Giving parents smiling photographs of their baby is always a great feeling.
Newborn Photographer in Northfield Minnesota | Baby Toes and Other Details
One of my favorite sets of images to include in a session as a newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota are these little detail pictures. Ones that focus on how tiny baby’s features are. They have little noses, long skinny fingers, chubby cheeks, adorable pouts, and most have just fuzz for hair. I love being able to capture those little details for families that select me as their newborn photographer in Northfield Minnesota.
