I do my best to fit in all newborn inqueries.  Please reach out and I will let you know if I have an opening.  If I don’t, I will refer you to photographer friends that may be able to accommodate your baby.

Studio newborn sessions take place at my Northfield photography studio, 801 Division St S, Northfield MN 55057.

Fresh 48 sessions take place either in the hospital in the days after baby’s birth, or in your home in the first few days when baby is home. Travel expenses may apply dependent on hospital and home distance from Northfield MN.

Newborn sessions typically take place weekday mornings. I can sometimes accommodate weekend newborns. If you need a weekend session, please let me know when you inquire.

Newborn sessions typically last 2-2.5 hours.  Some babies need more time, and others can finish my normal session poses in less than 2 hours.  Newborn sessions are based on baby’s feeding and sleeping schedules, which can vary greatly from baby to baby.

Fresh 48 sessions typically last about an hour.  Since they are more documentary style, we are able to fit more into a shorter session.

The only thing you needs to bring is your baby and food for them.  I have a large collection of newborn props from local and international vendors, and in a variety of colors and styles.

I do encourage families to bring items that are important to them to include in the session soon. Some examples include a special baby blanket, a heirloom item, or anything special that you would like included.

Once your session is booked, I will send you a detailed what to expect guide for your session.  It will include tips for a happy and sleepy baby, clothing choices for family pictures, and much more.

Being a mom of two kids myself, I know that adding a baby to the family and be a big adjustment to siblings and the attention they receive.  I always include big sibling pictures in newborn sessions, so they feel like a bigger part of the session.

I also have snacks, toys, and Disney+ in the studio.  There is also a playground a block away, and an adorable cupcake shop in walking distance if they need to get out of the studio and burn off some energy. 

Yes!  I always encourage my clients to invest in printed products.  I know we live in a digital world, but there is nothing better than pictures of your family hanging on your wall, beautiful albums, and prints. I work with top printing labs from across the country to offer stunning ways to display your family pictures.

Yes.  I know prints and products are not a good match for everyone.  Digital images are included with every photography session packages.

You will be invited back to the studio 1-2 weeks after your session for your viewing and ordering appointment. This is when you will see your final images.  I will also guide you through the selection process as you choose your favorite images and decide on what products or collections best fit your needs.

If coming back to the session isn’t a good option for your family, I do offer online gallery viewings too.

Your digital images will be ready for you on the day of your viewing and ordering appointment.

Orders of prints, wall art, canvas wraps, keepsake boxes, and albums can take 1-2 weeks depending on production times for each item.  I promise, I will get your items to you as soon as possible.
