Everyone that tried it on at their dress fitting ends up wearing it for their session. All of the ladies say the same thing. That is is a dress they would never buy for themselves to wear at a photography studio maternity session, but they are glad I had it on hand for them to wear.
Everyone likes being able to dress up, and wear something that is just a touch fancier than what you would buy for yourself. Whites, blacks, and grays are the most popular choices for clothing in a photography studio maternity session. I love when moms add some color to their session, and this teal maternity dress did just that. I love when moms add bright colors into the session and add some extra variety and attitude to the gallery.

My favorite images from studio maternity sessions are these amazing silhouette images. They can only be done in a photography studio maternity session and don’t have the same look or impact when done outdoors. The light embracing mom is beautiful, and shows off her baby bump so well. It is a great way to remember their pregnancy, how beautiful they are, and exactly what their profile looked like just before their baby was born.

One of the biggest reasons mom tell me they booked a photography studio maternity session is that I have so many studio maternity dresses available for the session. As a mom myself, I know that maternity clothes shopping is incredibly difficult. Clothing is either super cute and expensive, or decently priced and either gaudy or something an older woman would wear. I decided years ago to start a maternity dress collection to give moms the chance to have pictures taken in beautiful dresses, but without having to invest in a dress that they will wear only at the session or maybe a second time to a special event. This black maternity dress with the tulle bottom is a great example of the types of dresses I wanted to have in studio for moms to wear, without having to make large investments to wear them.

One of the newest additions to the studio’s maternity dress collection are these bodysuits. In addition to the black bodysuit, I have nude and white options available too. The body suit is a nice change from a large maternity gown or dress, and allows the simple beauty of a maternity session to be the focus of the photography studio maternity session.
I also have some great maternity session accessories available in studio for use at maternity sessions. This sequin cape is a fun way to add a little sparkle to a bodysuit. It is just the right balance of glam to to pair with a simple maternity bodysuit.
