I love when families get involved in their Northfield baby photography session. This big sister was so loving with her little sister, and had a blast hanging out with her for some sister images to include in the Northfield baby photography session. I love how sweet they look together, and how sweet big sister was with her little sister already.
Bucket Poses | Northfield Baby Photography Session
If you follow the blog as all, then you know that not only is this bucket from Hello Little Props one of my favorite newborn photography props, but posing baby in this bucket is one of my most popular newborn poses. I love how perfectly sized this bucket is for little ones, and how easy it is to swap out the outer design on the buckets. It was a great way to get two different looks from one poses during this Northfield baby photography session.
Floral Backdrop | Northfield Baby Photography Session
This backdrop is a favorite of mine – which may be shocking knowing that I love my all white set ups too. While whites for newborn sessions is my top choice, I love the brightness this floral drop adds to a newborn photography session gallery. And these adorable headbands from Goodnightmoon Props and Poppy & Cy are perfect matches for the colors and floral design of the drop.
Close Up | Northfield Baby Photography Session
A staple in every Northfield baby photography session are these close up images. I love capturing the sweet little details before they change from “newborn” to “baby”, and then in what seems over night into “kid” features. Newborns change to fast, that I love being able to capture these sweet little features when they are just days old.
Swaddled Poses | Northfield Baby Photography Session
This sweet swaddled or wrapped newborn poses are also a staple in Northfield baby photography session. I also love that mom was all for using a color that doesn’t get used much in newborn photography sessions, yellow.
Traditional Newborn Poses | Northfield Baby Photography Session
This little girl was a sweetheart, and was all for letting me pose her during her Northfield baby photography session. First we started with my favorites, some poses on white. We incorporated adorable white lace pants, a white textured layer, and headbands. Since her session took place around the holidays, we also incorporated a headband with a holiday feel to it.
Next was this gorgeous red floral backdrop. I love the beautiful lace detail on this backdrop. It is also so soft.
This pink backdrop is perfect on it’s own, but this sweet little floral lace romper was a perfect addition. It is simple, but also has just enough details on it to give images an instant feminine touch.
Personal Items | Northfield Baby Photography Session
My recent maternity session with Northfield mom was with the sweet mom to this little one ( and her big sister). Just like the maternity session, mom brought in some fabric and jewelry to represent the family’s ancestry in Ghana. I love when families incorporate such important things to them into their Northfield newborn photography session.
