I love when families come into my photography studio for milestone photography in Northfield MN. This family came in for a milestone session since they missed out on a newborn session when they little one was fresh baby. Like so many parents, they were cautious about protecting their little one when there were so many questions in the early weeks and months of when Covid was first being detected in Minnesota, and where my studio is located in Northfield MN. Since they missed out on a newborn session, it was great to get them in for a milestone photography in Northfield MN session.

I has been eye openings to see these little ones for their milestone photography in Northfield MN session since they were born in the pandemic, and had limited contacts. These little ones take a little longer to warm up for their milestone photography in Northfield MN, but eventually they get super comfortable and we have a blast during the session.
I gladly include family poses with my milestone photography sessions. As a mom myself, I believe that these big milestones are ones for the entire family celebrate. And it is always nice as a mom to have updated pictures of the whole family at one time. My biggest love of white, and white on white, set ups is that they will always look good in your home. No matter how things change over the years, you images from a session with me will always have a place on your walls.

Mom had a special request for this milestone photography in Northfield MN. She wanted to recreate a photograph of her when she was about the same age. It was fun to put my own spin on a picture from the past, and not only capture the feel and spirit of it, while letting her daughter’s personality show in her own photograph.

The majority of my milestone photography in Northfield MN sessions are white based. With white backdrops, props, and outfits. Spending time with the wooden backdrop during the first year photography session gave the gallery a nice variety of images, but still stuck with complimentary colors and simple style.

Since we used the dark wood backdrop, we also had to incorporate another white set up – since I have a slight obsession with white backdrops and props. She wore a studio favorite, a romper with sequin and lace detail. It has been a studio staple for milestone photography in Northfield MN sessions over the last few years.
She also wore a personal favorite of mine for child photography sessions, a blue romper, and an adorable blue headband. I am a huge fan of girls in nontraditional girl colors, like blue, green, and gray.

This little girl had so much fun, and the funniest expressions when she was in the studio staple white high chair. I’m pretty sure that at this point of the milestone photography in Northfield MN session, she was over me and just wanted to eat, followed by leaving shortly after. Luckily she was amazing, and once we got a few more images of her in the high chair, she finished up her milestone photography session.
