Rochester Mom Maternity Photography Session

I was thrilled when I booked this Rochester mom maternity photography session.  I was lucky enough to photographer her maternity and newborn session for her son, and loved that I was able to see their family grow again.  I can’t wait to meet little sister.  If she is anything like the rest of her family, she is going to be amazing!

We started her Rochester mom maternity photography session at my Northfield MN photography session.  I loved that we were able to incorporate both outdoor maternity images and studio maternity images into her Rochester mom maternity photography session.  I love shooting both, and love the different feel of both locations.

Rochester Mom Maternity Photography Session | Blue Maternity Dress

The first dress we used for her Rochester mom maternity photography session is a studio favorite.  It is from Baltic Born, and a dress that flatters all moms, no mater their size or stage of their pregnancy. It is the perfect blue, offers some arm coverage (which is a top request from moms at their maternity photography sessions). It is the perfect option for moms wanting to wear something different to the session, and not feel too dressed up.  It is a nice dressy casual dress that realistically moms would have in their own closet and not a huge variation from their normal outfits to wear at their Rochester mom maternity photography session.

This dress is easily one of the top 5 dresses in the studio collection of maternity dresses.  Most moms are hesitant to try in on, but once they do, they all wear it for their session. I am go glad mom also tried it on and wore it for her Rochester mom maternity photography session.  It really is a fun dress.  It’s got some sparkle, but not too much, and the skirt is puffy and fun.   I love photographing mom in it during their Rochester mom maternity photography session.   I should find it in more fun colors.  It is such a great maternity dresses for both indoor and outdoor sessions.

I met this little guy when she was just a few days old, if you don’t count moms previous maternity photography session with me.  And it has been a blast watching grow over the years, and his excitement to be a bring bother.

I love that he came with for the session.  As a photographer, I get to capture these little moments for families that might not seem like an important thing at the time, but will become important as the family grows.  These are some of his last pictures with mom and dad as an only child.  Soon his whole love will change, and he will get a best friend for life in his sister.  But right now, in these moments, it’s just him, mom, and dad. It is such a special time to include in their Rochester mom maternity photography session.

Rochester Mom Maternity Photography Session | Outdoor Images

We got out of the studio for the second part of the session, and actually went to the same outdoor location we photographed this mom’s first maternity photography session at. How special to have both kids maternity sessions at the same location.  This family were troopers, and were up for anything during their Rochester mom maternity photography session at Carleton College’s Arboretum.

This little stream area is perfect for a Rochester mom maternity photography session, especially when she has her little one with.  Boys love being around the stream, throwing rocks into the water, and running across the bridge.  It’s no wonder why this is a popular photography session location for families in the Northfield area.  I am glad we decided to use it for this Rochester mom maternity photography session too.

Little sister will be here soon – and mom has already picked out adorable newborn photography props from the studio collection.  I can’t wait to meet her, photograph this soon to be family of 4, and give mom and dad perfect memories of this special time for their family.
